ZYkR

ZYkR is an industrial/electronic project based out of Brooklyn, New York.

With 2 EP’s under their belt, ZYkR formulates a sound where programmed beats and synthesized electronic sounds interweave with sampled recordings, guitar riffs and voices. Aseem’s songwriting draws on his life and surroundings, with themes ranging from anxiety and addiction, to love and loss.

Bringing the same spirit of experimentation to the stage, ZYkR’s live act incorporates custom instruments, synced-lighting, immersive visuals and a rotating line-up of musicians, including fellow Berklee college of music alumni Donnie Hogue (USA, Drums), Pedro Zappa (Portugal, Bass/Vocals), Tom Shani (USA, Bass/Vocals), and Aleif Hamdan (Indonesia, Guitars).
